Da Vinci Eye wants everyone to be able to use this website, including people who use screen readers, keyboards or other assistive technology. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1, Level AA.
What we have done
- A “Skip to main content” link is the first stop when you navigate with a keyboard.
- We add text descriptions to images that carry information.
- Videos from YouTube and Vimeo load only when you press play or accept cookies.
- Decorative background videos are silent, and they stay off if your device is set to reduce motion.
- The cookie banner can be used with a keyboard and honors the Global Privacy Control signal.
Known limitations
We have not yet had a formal accessibility audit, so we cannot say the site fully meets WCAG 2.1 AA. We know of these gaps:
- We have not completed a full check of text and background color contrast.
- Captions and transcripts on videos depend on the video itself, and some older videos may not have them.
- Some images in older blog posts may have missing or brief descriptions.
- This statement covers the website only, not the Da Vinci Eye mobile apps.
